Restored sash w/ linseed oil paint

At Wilder Woodcraft we are constantly seeking better materials and techniques to to offer our customers. These windows were finished with a very traditional style of paint. Linseed oil paint was THE paint used universally before modern paints were introduced. It is our honest opinion that this paint is better than any exterior American paint currently offered.  It is V.O.C. freeLead free, and has a 50 year life span! We are the only company in the area that knows how to use it and offers it to our clients. Once again, the old is new!

restored double hung wooden windows

These windows were in pretty bad shape. They were neglected for decades and painted shut with over 20 coats of paint. Here they are looking practically brand new and operating with more ease than the wood replacement windows in the new part of the home. All of this work was done for about the same cost as buying and installing new good quality replacement windows. Coupled with operable exterior storm windows, they are proven to be just as energy efficient as well.

EXTerior weather damage

We answer many calls requesting rot repair. Many old homes suffer small damaged areas on siding and sills. Most of the time these can be fixed by removing the damage and custom fitting new wood and epoxy. when finished with paint they often look as if there was never a problem.
